When adding a process to your project, Archdesk will show you a list of the processes that are in your system. If you are only starting out, the list will be blank and you need to define and add your specific processes to the list.
⚠️Tip: Archdesk is very flexible. Whenever you need to add a new type of data to match your individual operations structure you can do it by adding, what we call, inputs in the Settings & Preferences panel.
To start adding the processes and their stages, go to Settings & Preferences by clicking on your name in the upper right corner and selecting that option from the drop-down menu.
Then go to the Projects tab that you will find on the menu on your left. Then select Processes from the popup menu. Here you can see all the available process. To add a new process click the button on your right.
Add the stages that you want for your process. Remember that the process by default is a linear process meaning the stages occur one after another and the next stage will not start until the previous one has been completed.
How to allow multiple stages of a process be active at the same time?
If you want to allow for the stages to be in progress at once (happen concurrently for non-linear projects), go to Settings & Preferences -> Projects Option (left hand-side menu) -> Processes -> Click on the process -> then select the settings tab and check the "Allow multiple stages" option.
Set the visibility of the process to let the required people see what they need to see to work efficiently and hide the process from the people who don't necessary have to have the access.
⚠️Tip: It's always a good idea not to overwhelm people with the available information. With the visibility feature not only can you control who sees what data but also how much data they see. Make sure they always have what exactly what they need.
Last but not least, set the notifications to make sure that when you are working on the process everyone involved will be notified and up to date with what is going on.
Editing and Removing the existing Project Processes
Archdesk lets you edit the processes that are already on the Project Processes list. To edit a process on the list click on the entry list of the process that you want to modify and open the edit window. The system will allow you to make changes to every stage of every process , remove it or add another stage to the process.
🚨 Adding a stage will not affect the existing processes. If you want a stage to appear in the process and on your dashboard you will need to add a new process in your project selecting the process template that you have made changes to.
To remove a process simply click the icon next on the process you want to delete.
